Year 1 melting experiment.
In year 1 we have been exploring materials and their properties. We decided to find out which materials melt and then discuss why we think they have been made that way. The children heated tin foil, cling film, a table, a plate, chocolate and butter. They concluded that "the food melts so that we can cook with it, but the other items do not so that they can be used to keep things warm." Well done year 1!
